Tronic Curved Indoor Lamp, Black E27 Wall Light, 308mm

Our review
The Tronic Curved Indoor Lamp is a wall-mounted light fitting with a gently curved body finished in black. Because the shape is open at the top, bottom and front, it spreads light in three directions rather than focusing it on one spot, which makes it useful for lighting a pathway, a stairwell or a corridor where you want a softer wash instead of a single bright patch. It suits anyone who already has an E27 bulb at home, since the base type is the common screw fitting and the fitting runs on standard mains voltage. Before buying, check the dimensions against the wall space you have in mind: at 308mm wide and 100mm high it is a fairly wide, low-profile unit, so it reads better as a horizontal accent than as a tall sconce. Also confirm your bulb's length fits inside the curved body, and decide whether you want a warm or cool bulb, because the fitting itself does not dictate colour temperature. Compared with enclosed wall lights, this one gives more spread but less directional control, and its stainless steel and opal construction is a step up from plain plastic housings. It is available on Sokonia.
