Tronic Data Socket RJ45 Cat 6 Outlet

Our review

This is a wall-mounted data socket from Tronic built around an RJ45 connection point. It is made to take standard Cat 6 cabling, and the same module also works with lower-rated cable such as Cat 4, Cat 5 and Cat 5e, so it can slot into older wiring runs as well as newer ones. The listing also notes that VOIP telephone connections work best with this data module, which makes it a reasonable pick if you want one outlet type for both network and internet phone points.
It suits anyone wiring or extending a home or office network who wants a single socket that is not fussy about cable category. Before buying, check the cable you plan to terminate behind the wall, confirm the back box or mounting arrangement you already have, and decide whether you need one port or several. Compare it with plain Cat 5e-only sockets and with keystone jack setups, which differ in how you terminate and swap modules. No specifications beyond the above are given, so verify the physical fit yourself. Available on Sokonia.
