Tronic Double Oval Disk Wall Light, Black, 12W Warm White

Our review

This Tronic fitting is a wall-mounted light built around two stacked oval disks in a black finish. It runs on mains voltage at 220 to 240V and draws 12W, giving a warm white output rather than a cool, clinical tone. At 230mm high and 170mm wide, it is a fairly compact unit, so it suits spaces where you want a defined pool of light without a large fixture dominating the wall. Hallways, stairwells, courtyards and garden walls are the obvious placements, and the same look carries into restaurant or hotel exteriors where matching fittings matter. Because the body is diecast, it should feel more substantial than thin pressed-metal alternatives, though that also means checking your wall can take the weight and that a mounting point and cable route already exist. Before buying, confirm the surface you are fixing to, whether you need one unit or several to balance a wall, and whether warm white suits the area; a cooler temperature reads better in some utility spaces. Compare against plain bulkhead lights if you want something more discreet, or larger twin-lamp designs if you need to cover more ground.
