Tronic Earth Rod PIT Chamber PVC Inspection Pit

Our review

This is a PVC inspection pit chamber from Tronic, intended to sit over an earth rod so the connection can be checked and maintained without digging up the ground each time. The manufacturer describes it as lightweight but heavy-duty, and claims its distinctive shape gives it performance qualities better than a conventional concrete pit. That combination is the main reason to consider it: a concrete pit is durable but heavy to move and awkward to install, while this one is easier to handle on site. It suits electricians, contractors and anyone installing or servicing an earthing system who wants a pit that is simpler to position and open. Before buying, check the dimensions of your earth rod and the chamber opening, confirm the lid loading suits where it will sit, and make sure the PVC body is right for your soil and water conditions. Compare it with concrete and other composite pits on weight, lid strength and how easily the cover can be removed. It is available on Sokonia.
