Tronic Enclosure 340 x 180 x 260mm Distribution Board

Our review

This Tronic enclosure is a weatherproof consumer unit, the kind of housing used to split a single electrical power feed into separate subsidiary circuits, each protected by its own fuse or circuit breaker. The 340 x 180 x 260mm size gives you a reasonable amount of internal room, so it suits small installations where a handful of circuits need to be grouped and protected in one place, such as outbuildings, workshops or a domestic distribution point. Because the listing gives no specifications, check the number of ways you need, the current rating of the breakers you plan to fit, and whether the enclosure's internal dimensions and mounting arrangement actually accept them. Compare it with other weatherproof consumer units on enclosure material, IP rating and door or cover type, since those details decide whether it is right for an exposed location. Confirm the breaker type and busbar compatibility with your electrician before ordering, and remember that any mains wiring should be installed by a qualified person. The unit is available on Sokonia.
