Tronic Floor Switch Socket 13A Twin Universal

Our review

This Tronic unit is a twin floor socket rated at 13A, with universal outlets that accept the common plug shapes used in Tanzania. The face is soft-edged polished stainless steel, and the cover sits flush with the surface to keep dust and grit out of the contacts. It suits anyone planning floor-level power in a living room, office or hotel room where wall sockets would be awkward or where cables need to stay out of walkways. Before buying, confirm the cutout size and depth your floor or screed allows, check that the 13A rating covers the appliances you have in mind, and think about whether you want a cover that closes fully or one that lets a plug stay inserted. Compare it with plastic floor boxes and standard wall sockets: steel looks more durable and sits flatter, but it needs a clean, accurate cutout and is harder to fit after the floor is finished.
