Tronic G9 LED Capsule Bulb 4W Warm White 3000K

Our review

This is a G9-fitting LED capsule bulb from Tronic, rated at 4W and a warm white 3000K colour temperature. It puts out 480 lumens, so it is intended as a direct low-power substitute for the halogen G9 capsules many homes and venues already use. The warm tone suits living areas, bedside lamps, wall sconces and decorative fittings where a softer glow is wanted rather than crisp task lighting. Before ordering, check that your fixture takes a G9 pin base and that the bulb's dimensions will clear any glass shade or narrow housing, since capsule bulbs vary in shape. Also confirm whether your fitting is enclosed, as heat build-up matters for LED lifespan. Compared with halogen G9s, this draws far less power for similar brightness, though halogens can be dimmed more forgivingly and some LEDs behave differently on older dimmer switches. If you simply want lower running costs in a decorative fitting, this is a sensible option available on Sokonia.
