Tronic Gold Double Blanking Plate — Screwless Polycarbonate

Our review

This is a double blanking plate from Tronic, finished in gold with a screwless front and smooth edges. It covers a two-gang opening where no switch or socket is needed, and the metal plate behind the face is there to keep the fitting firm once installed. The polycarbonate body is the same family of material used across most modern wiring accessories, chosen for strength and a long service life rather than looks alone. It suits anyone matching gold accessories in a room, or tidying up an unused double box. Before buying, confirm the finish matches your existing gold plates, since tones vary between ranges, and check that a screwless plate will sit flush against your wall surface. Compare it with plain white or brushed metal blanks if the gold is only for one room, and with single blanks if you only need to cover one gang. Available on Sokonia.
