Tronic Gold Single Blanking Plate, Screwless Polycarbonate

Our review

This Tronic blanking plate covers a single unused wall box, and its gold finish with a screwless face gives a cleaner look than a standard white plastic cover. It suits anyone tidying up a switch or socket position, especially in rooms where visible fittings matter, such as lounges, reception areas or hotel-style interiors. The polycarbonate body is described as durable, and the metal plate behind it is meant to keep the fitting secure once installed. Before buying, confirm the box is a single size and that the gold tone matches your existing switches, since finishes vary between ranges. Also check whether your wall box depth and fixing points suit a screwless design, as these can differ from screw-fixed plates. Compared with basic blanking plates, you are paying for appearance and materials rather than extra function, so weigh that against plainer alternatives if the plate will sit out of sight.
