Tronic Golf Filament LED 4W E14 Small Screw Bulb

Our review

This is a small, golf-ball-shaped LED bulb from Tronic with a clear glass cover and a visible filament inside, the kind of look people choose when they want the warmth of an old-style bulb without the heat and running cost of incandescent. At 4 watts it is a low-draw lamp, so it suits fittings where light is left on for long stretches. The E14 small screw cap is the detail to check first: it is narrower than the standard E27 base and will not fit a regular lamp holder. It is a good match for bedside lamps, small pendants, wall sconces, and decorative fixtures where a bulky bulb would look out of place. Because the glass is fully transparent, the filament is on show, so it works best in fittings where the bulb itself is part of the look rather than hidden behind a shade. Before ordering, confirm your socket size and that a golf-ball shape clears any shade or frame. Compared with frosted or opaque LED bulbs of the same cap, this one gives a more decorative, exposed-filament appearance; compared with higher-wattage filament bulbs it draws less power but gives less light, so it is better for accent and ambient use than for lighting a whole room. No specifications beyond the 4W rating and E14 cap are listed, so treat those as the facts to work from. Available on Sokonia.
