Tronic GU10 35W Halogen Bulb

Our review

This is a Tronic halogen bulb in the GU10 format, rated at 35W. Halogen lamps of this type are commonly found in work lights, under-cabinet lighting and car headlamps, and they are often chosen for directed illumination such as spotlights and floodlights, where halogen reflectors like MR and PAR lamps are frequently preferred. They are also increasingly used as a more effective replacement for incandescent reflectors.
It suits anyone maintaining or upgrading a fixture that already takes a GU10 halogen lamp and wants the familiar warm halogen output rather than switching technology. Before buying, check that your fitting accepts GU10 lamps and that 35W is appropriate for the fixture, since the wattage and cap type must match what the holder and any dimmer or transformer are designed for. Compare against LED and other halogen options on beam angle, dimmability and how often you are willing to replace lamps, since those differences matter more than the brand name here.
