Tronic Hanging Pendant Holder, E27 Screw Base, Blue Bakelite
TSh 10,000
Our review
This is a single hanging pendant holder from Tronic, finished in blue and made from bakelite, the hard thermoset plastic long used for lamp fittings because it resists heat around the lamp base. It takes an E27 screw bulb, the wide 27mm cap common on everyday bulbs, and is rated for AC 220-240V, which matches Tanzanian mains supply. It is a bare holder rather than a complete light, so it suits anyone assembling a pendant: a ceiling rose, flex and bulb are separate purchases. The minimalist shape works in a modern living room, and the blue finish is a deliberate accent, so think about whether it matches your ceiling and shade. Before buying, confirm your bulb is E27 rather than bayonet, check the flex you plan to use is rated for mains voltage, and decide whether you want a shade ring or a shade that sits directly on the holder. Compare against metal or ceramic holders if you need something heavier or a different colour, and against complete pendant sets if you would rather not wire one up yourself. The listing carries a one-year warranty. Available on Sokonia.
