Tronic Hanging E27 Screw Pendant Holder in Sky Blue, Bakelite

Our review

This Tronic pendant holder is a single ceiling fitting finished in sky blue, made from Bakelite and built around an E27 screw base. It is aimed at anyone putting together a modern living room look and wanting a light point that reads as a deliberate design choice rather than a plain white ceiling rose. Because the colour is the main visual feature, it works best when it either matches other accents in the room or stands alone as the one bright element. Before buying, confirm your bulb uses an E27 screw cap, not a bayonet fitting, and that your supply is 220 to 240 volts, since that is the range this holder is rated for. Also check the weight of the shade or bulb you plan to hang, and whether your ceiling wiring is already in place, as a pendant holder replaces an existing light point rather than creating a new one. Compared with basic plastic holders, Bakelite is the notable difference here, and the sky blue finish is harder to find than standard black or white. Tronic backs it with a one year warranty. It is available on Sokonia.
