Tronic Industrial Plug 5 Pin 32A

Our review

This Tronic industrial plug is a 5-pin, 32-amp connector intended for environments where electrical connections face moisture rather than the dry, protected conditions of a normal indoor socket. The manufacturer describes industrial plugs and sockets of this type as being used on outdoor construction sites, where wiring is exposed to bad weather or damp ground, and in places where connections may come into contact with water. That makes it a sensible choice for site electricians, contractors, and anyone running power to equipment in the open.
Before buying, confirm that 5-pin and 32A match your existing socket, cable, and equipment, since industrial connectors come in several pin counts and current ratings that are not interchangeable. Check the plug physically fits the socket you already have on site, and that your cable gland and conductor sizes suit the terminal. Compare against other industrial plugs by pin configuration, current rating, and the level of water and weather exposure they are designed for, because a plug rated for a different duty may not be appropriate for wet or outdoor use. If your setup is indoors and dry, a standard plug may be simpler. Available on Sokonia.
