Tronic Infrared Motion Sensor, 360° Detection, Wall Mount, Black

Our review

This Tronic sensor is a passive infrared switch that turns lights on when it detects movement, then off again after a delay you set. The 360° detection field makes it a sensible pick for a ceiling or high wall position where coverage needs to reach in several directions, such as a corridor, stairwell, garage, or the area around an entrance. Because the time and light thresholds are adjustable, you can keep it from triggering in daylight and control how long the light stays on after the area empties. Before buying, check that your fitting and wiring suit a wall-mounted sensor and that its detection pattern matches the space; a narrower unit may be better for a single doorway. Compare with microwave sensors, which can see through thin partitions, and with combined sensor lights if you would rather not reuse an existing fixture. Available on Sokonia.
