Tronic Insect Killer 6.5W Mosquito Zapper

Our review

This is a plug-in style flying insect killer from Tronic, rated at 6.5 watts. Insects that touch the electrified element are destroyed on contact, and the housing is made from fireproof ABS, which the maker describes as non-toxic, odour-free and safe around people. It suits households dealing with mosquitoes or other small flying insects in a bedroom, sitting room or kitchen, especially where sprays and chemical repellents are unwanted. Before buying, think about the size of the space you need to cover and where you will place or hang the unit relative to seating and sleeping areas. Compare it with larger zappers that draw more power and cover bigger rooms, and with chemical alternatives. Check the plug type and voltage suit your socket, and confirm the Sokonia listing matches what you expect, since no further specifications are given here. Clean the collection tray regularly so dead insects do not build up, and keep the unit out of reach of children. It is available on Sokonia.
