Tronic LED Recessed Downlight 12W Daylight 6500K

Our review

This is a recessed ceiling downlight from Tronic, rated at 12 watts and designed to produce a daylight colour temperature of 6500 Kelvin. That cool, crisp white light is the main thing to understand about it: it reads as bright and clinical rather than warm or cosy, so it tends to suit kitchens, bathrooms, corridors, workspaces and utility areas where you want clear visibility for tasks. It is less suited to bedrooms or lounges where a softer, warmer tone is usually preferred.
Before buying, check the cut-out diameter and ceiling depth your fitting requires, since recessed downlights must match the hole size and clearance in your ceiling. Also confirm the beam angle and whether you need dimming, as neither is stated here. Compare it with other 12W daylight downlights on brightness consistency and build quality, and consider whether a warmer colour temperature would serve the room better. It is available on Sokonia.
