Tronic Round LED Step Light, Black Grille, 3W IP54

Our review

This Tronic step light is a small, round fixture finished in black, with a half-grille face over the LED. At 3W it is intended for low-level lighting along pathways and staircases, where the aim is gentle, focused light rather than bright general illumination. The grille shape matters here: it shields the LED so you get less glare at eye level, which is useful on steps where a bare lamp can be uncomfortable to look at. The IP54 rating means it is protected against dust and splashes, so it is a reasonable candidate for covered outdoor steps, entrances and garden paths, though it is not a fully waterproof fixture for constant wet conditions. It suits someone who wants a discreet, modern-looking marker light rather than a decorative lantern. Before buying, check the dimensions and cut-out or mounting requirements, since none are listed here, and confirm the colour temperature and beam angle if those matter to you. Compare it with other low-wattage step and deck lights on brightness, face design and how well they resist moisture in exposed spots.
