Tronic 8-pin USB OTG Cable for iPhone, iPad and iPod
TSh 1,500
Our review
This Tronic cable is an 8-pin USB On-The-Go adapter, the type of connector used by Apple devices such as the iPhone 5s, 5c and 5, the iPad 4, iPad mini, and the fifth-generation iPod touch and seventh-generation iPod Nano. OTG lets a phone or media player act as a host, so a USB flash drive, digital camera, mouse or keyboard can be attached directly. It suits people who move files between a computer and an older 8-pin Apple device, or who want to plug in a keyboard or card reader without a laptop. Before buying, confirm your device uses the 8-pin connector rather than Lightning or USB-C, since the fit is not interchangeable. Also check whether your device and the accessory you plan to attach support OTG, because not every USB device works this way. Compared with plain charge-and-sync cables, this one is about host connectivity, so treat it as a specific tool rather than a general replacement cable. It is available on Sokonia.
