Tronic Male to Female USB 3.1 Extension Cable, 10Gbps, 2 Metres
TSh 4,500
Our review
This is a Tronic USB 3.1 extension cable with a male plug on one end and a female socket on the other, running 2 metres. The 10Gbps rating comes from the SuperSpeed USB 10Gbps specification, which uses more effective data encoding to deliver more than twice the effective throughput of earlier SuperSpeed USB, and it is fully backward compatible with USB ports and cables. It suits anyone who needs to move a USB device further from the machine, such as a desktop tower under a desk, a laptop dock, or a printer placed out of reach. Before buying, check the gender and direction you need, confirm 2 metres is enough without adding strain, and note that no specifications beyond the speed rating and length are given here, so verify connector type and power needs with the seller if your device is demanding. Compared with a plain USB 2.0 extension, this is the better pick when you are moving data rather than just charging; compared with a USB 3.1 hub, it is simpler and cheaper if you only need one port extended. It is available on Sokonia.
