Tronic Measuring Tape, 3 Meters, Bakelite Body

Our review

This is a compact 3-metre measuring tape from Tronic, built around a Bakelite body in black and red. The standout detail is the moving end hook: it shifts to account for its own thickness, so inside and outside measurements stay consistent whether you are measuring a box's exterior or the gap between two walls. That makes it a sensible pick for tailors, carpenters, electricians and anyone doing small household jobs where a short tape is easier to handle than a long one. Before buying, think about the length you actually need, since 3 metres covers furniture, fabric and room fixtures but not long runs across a plot. Compare it with tapes that offer a locking mechanism, a belt clip or a magnetic hook, and check whether the blade width and material suit the work you do. The one-year warranty is worth noting, and the tape is available on Sokonia.
