Tronic Outdoor Hanging Lamp — Black Downward-Facing Wall Light

Our review

This is a wall-mounted outdoor light from Tronic, finished in black with a minimalist look. The fitting holds the lamp on its upper portion so the light points downward, which is the arrangement you want over steps, paths and stairwells, where glare at eye level is a nuisance and a pool of light on the ground is more useful. It suits anyone lighting a front or back garden wall, a walkway edge or an entryway where the fixture should stay visually quiet. Before buying, check the mounting surface and height, since a downward-facing lamp throws light in a narrow band and needs to sit above the area you want lit. Also confirm the bulb type and fitting your existing setup uses, as no specifications are listed here. Comparable outdoor wall lights differ mainly in how far the head projects, the finish, and whether the design points light up, down or both ways. This one is the simple downlight option, available on Sokonia.
