Tronic Pendant Ceiling Spot Light White, GU10, 200x55mm

Our review
This Tronic pendant ceiling spot light is a single white aluminium fixture that takes a GU10 lamp of up to 10 watts and runs on standard mains power at 220-240V, 50Hz. It comes with a one-metre cable and measures 200 by 55 millimetres, so it hangs rather than sits flush, which makes it useful where you want light aimed at a surface or a specific spot instead of general room illumination. It suits living areas, offices, galleries and retail displays, and the IP20 rating means it is for indoor use only, away from bathrooms, outdoor eaves and other damp spots. Before buying, check three things: that you already have or will buy a GU10 lamp, since none is included; that the ceiling height and the one-metre cable give you the drop you want; and that the 10W maximum matches the lamp you intend to fit, because higher-wattage lamps are not suitable. Compare it with flush ceiling spots if you need even overhead light, and with track or multi-head fittings if one spot will not cover the area. The white finish blends into pale ceilings, and the one-year warranty is worth noting when comparing similar fixtures.
