Tronic Recessed Downlight Round 3W Daylight LED (ILU DR03-WH-DL)

Our review

This is a round recessed downlight from Tronic, rated at 3 watts and finished in daylight, sold under the model code ILU DR03-WH-DL. Because it is recessed, the fitting sits flush with the ceiling, which keeps the look tidy in hallways, bathrooms, kitchens and other rooms where you want light without a visible fixture. At 3 watts it is a low-draw LED, so it suits setups where several downlights run together, such as a corridor or a small room lit by a row of fittings. Before buying, check the cut-out diameter your ceiling already has, since recessed downlights are sized to the hole rather than the visible trim, and confirm the daylight colour temperature is what you want for the space, as daylight reads cooler and whiter than warm white. It is also worth comparing with other recessed downlights of the same wattage to see how beam spread and trim finish differ, and deciding whether you need one unit or a set to light a room evenly. The product is available on Sokonia.
