Tronic Round White LED Bulkhead, 20W Wall-Mounted

Our review

This is a round, wall-mounted bulkhead light from Tronic, rated at 20 watts and finished in white. Because it uses integrated LED chips rather than a replaceable bulb, there is nothing to swap out when it eventually dims, which suits anyone tired of ladder work on outdoor walls, stairwells, corridors or utility areas. The efficiency claim is significant: Tronic says the high-efficiency chips can reduce electricity use for that fitting by up to 90% compared with older lighting, so it makes most sense where a light stays on for long hours. Before buying, check the mounting surface and whether a round white fitting matches the wall, and confirm the 20W output gives the brightness you want for the area's size. Compare it with bulkheads that take replaceable bulbs, which cost less to keep running only if you are willing to change them, and with higher-wattage LED versions if you need more light.
