Tronic Slim Street Lantern Warm White 180W

Our review

The Tronic Slim Street Lantern is an outdoor lighting fixture rated at 180 watts and finished in warm white, so it throws the softer, slightly yellow-toned light many people prefer for residential streets, lanes and compound edges rather than the stark blue-white of cool-daylight fittings. Its slim housing is the other defining trait, which matters where a bulky lantern would look heavy on a pole or bracket. It best suits homeowners, landlords and small commercial premises lighting a driveway, yard or shared access route. Before buying, check the mounting arrangement and pole or bracket you intend to use, confirm the fitting's dimensions against the space you have, and look at the colour temperature and wattage of any lantern you are replacing, since warm white at this rating will read differently from a cool-white unit of similar output. Compare it with other street lanterns on build material, how the light is distributed, and whether the driver or lamp is serviceable, because those points decide long-term value more than the headline wattage.
