Tronic Surface Downlight Round 18W Daylight LED

Our review

This is a round surface-mounted downlight from Tronic, rated at 18 watts and finished in a daylight colour tone. Because it sits on the surface rather than being recessed, it suits rooms where you cannot or would rather not cut into the ceiling, such as rented spaces, concrete slabs, or ceilings you want to keep intact. The daylight output gives a bright, neutral feel that works well in kitchens, bathrooms, corridors, and workspaces where clear visibility matters more than a warm, cosy mood. Before buying, check the ceiling surface is flat and sound enough to hold a surface fitting, and confirm the diameter and depth suit the spot you have in mind. Compare it with recessed downlights if you want a flush look, and with warm-white versions if the room is a bedroom or lounge where softer light is preferred. Also weigh it against batten or panel lights for larger areas, since a single 18-watt fitting covers a limited zone. It is available on Sokonia.
