Tronic Surface Downlight Round 18W Warm White

Our review

This is a surface-mounted round downlight from Tronic, rated at 18 watts and designed to put out warm white light. Because it fixes to the surface rather than recessing into a ceiling, it is a practical pick where there is no ceiling void to cut into, or where you would rather not cut a hole at all. The warm white tone makes it better suited to living rooms, bedrooms, corridors and other spots where a softer, cosier feel is wanted than the cooler white of many utility lights. Before buying, check the ceiling or wall surface you plan to mount it on and how the fitting will be wired, since no specifications are listed here. It is also worth comparing it with recessed downlights if you want a flush look, and with cooler-white versions if the space needs brighter, more clinical light.
