Westpoint WKM-1819.L Cassette Air Conditioner 18000BTU R410a

Our review

This is a ceiling cassette air conditioner from Westpoint, model WKM-1819.L, rated at 18000 BTU of cooling. It runs on 220 to 240 volts at 50Hz single phase, uses R410a refrigerant with a 1000 gram charge, and pairs that with a rotary compressor. Its energy efficiency ratio for cooling is listed at 2.61, and the airflow figure given is 1319. Cassette units like this sit flush in a ceiling and distribute air from a central panel, which suits rooms where wall space is limited or where you want even cooling across an open area rather than a single directional blast. Before buying, think about ceiling height and whether the void above can take the unit and its drainage, since condensate has to run somewhere. Compare it with split and floor-standing options of similar capacity, and check the EER against other 18000 BTU models, because a higher ratio generally means less power drawn for the same cooling. Confirm the electrical supply your building provides matches the voltage stated here. The unit is available on Sokonia.
