Westpoint WCER5531E0 50x55cm Cooker with 3 Gas Burners and Electric Oven

Our review

This Westpoint cooker is a hybrid unit: three gas burners plus one electric hot plate, with an electric oven and grill underneath. The glass lid, oven lamp, thermostat, timer and auto ignition are all listed features, and it comes in white with black or brown options. It suits households that already have gas but want an electric plate for simmering or when gas runs out, and the 50x55cm footprint fits smaller kitchens. Before buying, confirm your gas supply type and that your electrical circuit handles the oven and plate, since voltage is 220–240V at 50–60Hz. Compare with all-gas cookers of the same size if you prefer one fuel source, or with larger 60x60cm models if you cook for more people. Check the oven capacity and whether the grill suits your usual dishes.
