Westpoint 6L Digital Pressure Cooker WPCR-61020.I, 1000W

Our review

This is a 6-litre electric digital pressure cooker from Westpoint, rated at 1000W and sold under model number WPCR-61020.I. The preset menu covers rice, soup, chicken, meat, braise, cake, beans, gruel, ribs, fish and cereal, so it is aimed at households that cook a range of everyday dishes rather than just one pot of rice. Six litres suits a family or batch cooking, though anyone cooking for one may find a smaller capacity easier to store and clean. The time adjustment and delay start features are worth thinking through against your routine: delay start helps if you want food ready at a set time, but it only works well with recipes you already trust. The non-stick interior coating means you should use plastic or wooden utensils and avoid harsh scouring. Before deciding, compare it with other 6L electric pressure cookers on wattage, number of presets, and whether they include a measuring cup and rice spoon like this one does. A stovetop pressure cooker will usually be cheaper and faster to reach pressure, but it gives you no timer, delay start or keep warm function. Check which accessories are included and whether the lid and inner pot are easy to replace, since those are the parts that wear first. This model is available on Sokonia.
