Westpoint WIS-1224 Split Inverter Air Conditioner, 12000 BTU, R410A
TSh 869,000
Our review
The Westpoint WIS-1224 is a 12000 BTU split inverter air conditioner using R410A refrigerant. Inverter control means the compressor varies its speed instead of switching fully on and off, which is the basis for the energy saving, faster cooling and quieter running Westpoint claims. A unit of this capacity is usually chosen for a bedroom, sitting room or small office rather than a large open space. Before buying, confirm the room size and ceiling height suit 12000 BTU, check the electrical supply and whether installation is included, and compare inverter models on running cost, noise and refrigerant type. R410A remains common, though newer refrigerants exist.
