Hisense 297L Chest Freezer H399CF with Multimode Function

Our review

This Hisense chest freezer gives you 297 litres of storage in a white aluminium body, with a temperature knob you turn to set the cabinet the way you need it. The multimode function lets you run it as a standard freezer or switch to other cooling settings, which is useful if your needs change through the year. Spring-load hinges hold the lid open while you load or dig through the basket, the handle makes lifting easy, and the defrost drain lets meltwater run out without tipping the unit. There is also a lock and a super freezer mode for pushing the temperature down quickly after a big shop. It suits households, small shops, butchers and anyone storing bulk meat, fish or produce who wants a chest rather than an upright. Before buying, measure your floor space and doorways, since a chest freezer needs room for the lid to swing up, and think about whether you prefer the easier organisation of an upright. Compare defrost type, internal baskets and running cost against similar-capacity models, and check the voltage and plug requirements for your area. Available on Sokonia.
