Tronic Modern Lantern Wall Light, E27 IP44

Our review

This is a wall-mounted outdoor lantern from Tronic, built around a single E27 socket and rated IP44, which means it is protected against splashing water. The open-frame design in a black finish gives it a clean, architectural look rather than a traditional closed lantern, so it tends to suit modern homes, boundary walls, gate pillars, and covered patios where the fitting itself is meant to be seen. Because the frame is open, the bulb becomes part of the look, so think about whether you want a visible filament or vintage-style lamp or something more discreet. Before buying, confirm the E27 base matches the bulbs you plan to use, and check that the IP44 rating is appropriate for where you intend to mount it, since it is splash-resistant rather than fully submersible or jet-proof. It is also worth comparing against similar lantern wall lights on build material, how the bulb is accessed for replacement, and whether the open frame gives the light spread you want.
