Ingco Socket Spanner 13mm HHAST12131 1/2″ Drive 6-Point

Our review

This is a single 13mm socket from Ingco, built for a 1/2-inch drive tool such as a ratchet handle or breaker bar. The six-point opening grips the flats of a bolt head rather than the corners, which matters on fasteners that are already slightly rounded. Black nickel plating and heat treatment are the two finishes Ingco lists, both aimed at resisting wear and corrosion over repeated use. It suits someone assembling a 1/2-inch drive set piece by piece, or replacing a lost 13mm, which is one of the most common sizes on Tanzanian vehicles and machinery. Before buying, confirm your ratchet or extension bar is 1/2-inch drive, since a 3/8-inch tool will not fit. Also check whether you need a deep socket for nuts on long studs, or a twelve-point version for tighter angles. Compare drive size, point count and finish against other sockets in the same range.
