Tronic Access Floor Socket with 13A Socket and RJ45, 120×120mm

Our review

This Tronic floor unit is a recessed access socket that sits flush with the floor and rises when you need it. One side takes a standard 13A BS plug, the other an RJ45 network cable, so a single point in the floor can serve both mains power and wired data. The slow pop-up mechanism is meant to open gradually rather than snap upward.
It suits anyone planning floor-level power and internet in offices, meeting rooms, reception areas, study desks or home setups where wall outlets are out of reach or would look untidy. Before buying, confirm the cutout and lid size work with your floor build-up, that your floor construction can accept a 120×120mm box, and that your cabling can be routed to that point. Check whether you need shielded or unshielded network cable and whether a 13A outlet is the right plug standard for your equipment.
Compared with fixed floor boxes, this pop-up design stays flatter when closed. Compared with simple floor plates, it adds the data port and the retracting lid. Similar units vary in socket type, port count and lid size, so match those to your layout. Available on Sokonia.
