Tronic Clear Glass Globe Wall Lamp with Gold Frame

Our review

This Tronic wall lamp pairs a clear glass globe with a gold metal frame, so the fixture reads as a decorative object even before it is switched on. The textured glass is the part that matters most in use: it spreads the bulb's light rather than letting it punch a single bright spot onto the wall, which makes the lamp easier to live with in a hallway, bedroom or stairwell where you want gentle illumination rather than a harsh beam. It suits anyone building a warm, slightly dressy interior and willing to treat lighting as part of the decor. Before buying, check the bulb fitting and maximum wattage, since none are listed here, and confirm the backplate suits your wall type and that the globe's diameter fits the space you have in mind. Compare it with plain opal or fabric-shade wall lights: those hide the bulb completely, while clear textured glass keeps a visible glow and a more open look. Also weigh gold against chrome or black frames if the rest of your fittings are cooler in tone.
