Tronic Surface Mounted Black Ceiling Light, GU10, Aluminium

Our review

This is a compact surface-mounted ceiling fitting from Tronic, finished in black aluminium and built around a single GU10 base. Because it mounts directly to the ceiling rather than recessing into it, it suits rooms where there is no ceiling void to work with, such as concrete slabs, or where you would rather not cut holes. The 100mm height and 80mm width make it fairly unobtrusive, and the aluminium body keeps it light. It runs on 220 to 240 volts and carries a one-year warranty. Before buying, confirm your ceiling wiring is already in place and that you are happy with a GU10 lamp, since the bulb is not included and the base type determines your choice of beam angle and brightness. Compare it with recessed spots if you want a flatter look, and with larger surface fittings if one light needs to cover a wider area. Available on Sokonia.
