Apex Orange Juicer Transparent

Our review

The Apex Orange Juicer Transparent is a manual citrus press built around a see-through body, so you can watch the juice run as you squeeze. That transparency is the main thing setting it apart from opaque plastic presses, and it makes it easy to see when you have extracted all you can from a half. It suits anyone who juices a few oranges or lemons at a time and wants a simple tool rather than an electric machine. Before buying, check the size of the juicing cone against the fruit you normally use, and think about how the handle and body feel in the hand, since manual presses vary a lot in leverage. Compare it with wooden reamers and metal lever presses: the first is slower, the second is heavier and costlier. Also consider cleanup, because pulp catches in the ridges and a transparent body shows residue more readily. If you mostly juice large batches, an electric juicer may serve you better. Otherwise this is a straightforward pick for small, occasional jobs, and it is available on Sokonia.
