Hisense H180CFS 142L Chest Freezer, Grey

Our review

The Hisense H180CFS is a 142-litre chest freezer finished in grey, part of the brand's My Fresh Choice line. Its size puts it in the compact end of chest freezers, which makes it a sensible pick for a small household, a couple, or anyone who wants extra frozen capacity alongside an existing fridge-freezer rather than replacing it. The adaptable storage wording suggests the interior can be arranged to suit different loads, so it is worth checking how the baskets and compartments are set out if you plan to store bulky items such as large cuts of meat or stacked containers. Before buying, compare it with upright freezers of similar capacity: chest models generally hold more for their footprint and lose less cold air when opened, but they take up more floor space and make it harder to reach items at the bottom. Also weigh up the 142-litre capacity against what you actually freeze each month, since a freezer that is too large runs inefficiently when half empty. Check the dimensions against your intended spot and confirm the lid opens without obstruction. Available on Sokonia.
