Hisense HSIH1800BLT Steam Iron, 1800W, 250ml Tank

Our review

This Hisense iron is a straightforward steam model built around an 1800-watt element, a 250ml water tank and a non-stick soleplate, with an AntiCalc system intended to limit scale build-up inside the iron over time. The 1.8-metre cable gives a bit more reach from the socket than shorter cords, which helps if your ironing board sits away from a wall outlet. It suits households ironing regularly, from school uniforms to work shirts, and anyone who wants decent steam output without moving up to a boiler-style iron. Before buying, think about how much you iron at once: a 250ml tank is fine for a moderate pile but will need refilling during longer sessions, and if you mostly press delicate fabrics, check how the steam settings behave at low heat. Compared with basic dry irons, the steam function and AntiCalc design are the main reasons to choose this one; compared with larger steam generators, you trade continuous steam capacity for a lighter, simpler appliance. The non-stick soleplate also makes it easier to glide over fabric and simpler to wipe clean. Available on Sokonia.
