Our review
The Ingco GE55003 is a petrol generator built around a 389mL four-stroke OHV engine with air cooling and T.C.I ignition. It produces a rated 5.0kW and a maximum 5.5kW at 220-240V and 50Hz, running at 3000rpm, and it starts electrically rather than by pull cord. The 25L fuel tank is the figure most buyers will care about, since runtime depends on how heavily you load it. This suits someone who needs backup power for a home or small workshop running lights, a fridge, a TV, fans, or power tools, and who wants the convenience of a key or button start. Before buying, work out your actual load: add up the running watts of everything you plan to connect, then allow extra for motor-driven appliances like fridges and pumps, which draw far more at startup than their label suggests. Compare it against smaller 2-3kW units if your needs are light, and against diesel sets if you expect long daily running, since petrol engines generally cost more per hour to run. Also check the noise level and weight against where you will site it, and confirm the socket types match your appliances. The electric start is a real advantage over recoil-only generators of similar output, but it does not change the fundamentals: size the load correctly, keep the air-cooled engine ventilated, and treat fuel storage safely.
