It suits a household, small shop or workshop that wants diesel economy rather than petrol convenience, and can live with pull starting. Before buying, confirm your actual load stays within the 4.5kW rated figure, not the 5.0kW peak, and check whether your appliances are single phase. Compare against petrol sets of similar output, which usually start easier but cost more to run, and against larger diesel units if you need more headroom.
