Ingco Spirit Level 80cm Aluminum HSL18080

Our review

This is an 80cm spirit level from Ingco, model HSL18080, built from aluminum with a 1mm thickness and the brand's own body design. The length makes it a sensible pick for checking longer runs such as wall framing, door and window openings, shelving, tiling, and general carpentry where a short level would leave too much guesswork. It suits site workers, fundis, and serious DIY users who want one level that covers medium-length tasks without being unwieldy. Before buying, think about the work you do most: an 80cm tool is a good middle size, but very tight spaces may call for something shorter, and long slabs or tall walls may justify a longer level. Check that the vials are clear and well set when it arrives, and treat any level gently, since drops or heat can knock it out of true. Compare against other aluminum levels of the same length on vial count, edge profile, and how the frame feels in the hand, because those details affect accuracy and comfort more than the label.
