Tronic AD 1005-BK UK Plug Adaptor, 10A 250V, Black
TSh 11,000
Our review
This is a compact black adaptor from Tronic, model AD 1005-BK, built around a UK three-pin plug with a universal socket on the face. It is rated for a maximum output of 250V and 10A, which works out to 2500W, so it suits everyday low and medium draw devices rather than heavy appliances. The housing is fireproof ABS with metal contacts, a sensible choice for something that stays plugged in. It is most useful for travellers, renters or anyone with a UK-style wall outlet who needs to run a device with a different plug shape. Before buying, check the plug type of your device and its wattage or current draw, and keep the total under the 10A rating. Compare it with single-purpose adaptors if you only ever use one plug type, since a universal socket adds bulk but saves carrying several adaptors. Available on Sokonia.
