Tronic On Desk Socket 1G Universal + USB

Our review

This is a desk-mounted power point from Tronic that combines one universal socket with USB charging, shaped as a round unit. Because it is designed to sit in a hole already cut into a desk, it suits anyone fitting out a workstation, reception counter or study table where cables would otherwise trail across the surface. The body is cast from zinc alloy using pressure casting as a single integrated piece, which the maker presents as the reason it should hold up better than lighter plastic alternatives. Before ordering, measure the diameter of your existing cutout and confirm it matches the round housing, and check the thickness of your desk top so the fitting sits flush. It is worth comparing against flush pop-up units if you need the socket to disappear when not in use, and against plain grommets if you only want cable management rather than power. Also think about how many devices you will plug in at once, since a single outlet plus USB may be tight for a full desktop setup. Available on Sokonia.
