Tronic Ceiling Downlight Round Surface Mounted Black GU10

Our review

This Tronic fixture is a round, surface-mounted ceiling downlight in black aluminium, made for a single GU10 lamp rated up to 10W. Because it mounts directly to the ceiling rather than recessing, it suits rooms where you cannot or would rather not cut into the ceiling, such as rented homes, concrete slabs, or offices and showrooms where a visible fitting is acceptable. It runs on AC 220-240V at 50Hz, which matches typical Tanzanian mains supply, and its IP20 rating means it belongs in dry indoor areas only, so keep it out of bathrooms, kitchens with heavy steam, and covered outdoor spaces. The lamp is not included, so budget for a GU10 bulb and choose the beam angle and colour temperature you want. Before buying, check that a surface mount suits your ceiling height, since it hangs slightly lower than a recessed downlight, and confirm the GU10 base. Compare it with recessed spots if you want a flush look, or with larger multi-lamp fittings if one light will not cover the area. A one-year warranty applies.
