Tronic Magnetic Choke 5ft Twin Fitting for Fluorescent Tubes

Our review

This Tronic fitting is a five-foot twin unit that uses a magnetic choke to run fluorescent tubes. Because the choke handles starting on its own, no separate starter is needed, which keeps the setup simple and removes one part that can fail. It suits anyone replacing or building a twin-tube fixture in a workshop, shop or home, and it is a practical choice if you prefer the traditional magnetic approach over an electronic ballast. Before buying, confirm the tube length and that your wiring matches a magnetic choke circuit. If you plan to run LED tubes instead, the electronic ballast must be removed and the two terminals connected straight to the power source, so check whether your existing fitting has a ballast you can take out. Compare this with electronic ballast fittings, which are lighter and often quieter, and with complete fixtures if you would rather not wire anything yourself. The listing gives no further specifications, so ask about terminal layout and mounting if those matter to you. Available on Sokonia.
