This Tronic unit is a dual pop-up floor socket that brings both power and network connections up out of the floor when you need them, then lets them retract when the space is not in use. The RJ45 and RJ11 ports cover wired internet and telephone or modem links, which makes it a sensible choice for meeting rooms, reception desks, home offices and shared work tables where cables would otherwise trail across the floor. The housing is a zinc-plated steel box, so it is meant to sit recessed and take foot traffic around it, while the brass alloy cover gives the visible top plate a warmer, more finished look than plain plastic alternatives. Before buying, check the cut-out dimensions your floor or desk requires, confirm the cable routing you plan to run to it, and decide whether you need two network ports or a mix of power and data.
