Tronic Fan Dimmer Switch 1 Gang Speed Controller
TSh 13,500
Our review
This is a single-gang fan speed controller from Tronic, sold as a dimmer-style switch. It works by reducing the voltage fed to the fan, which is how it changes speed rather than switching between fixed taps. The listing notes it is made for fans with external rotor motors and also suits conventional motors, so it covers a fairly wide range of ceiling, wall and ventilation fans rather than one narrow type.
It suits someone replacing a failed controller or adding speed adjustment to a fan that currently runs at one speed. Before buying, confirm your fan's motor type and its rated current, since a controller has to match the load it drives, and check that a single-gang unit fits the box or plate you already have. If your fan has its own remote or stepped regulator, compare whether you want smooth voltage control or fixed positions. Available on Sokonia.
